The present book aims to analyse key features of the field of International Education. It also intends to study crucial elements of the relevant dimensions of the dychotomy Politics versus Policies. Educational policy and politics together constitute a vast field of research and intellectual endeavour. Policy and Politics are two words that are often confused with regard to their connotations. There is in fact some difference between the two words. Policy is a principle . Politics is all about organizational process.
This book analyses four key aspects of the Educational Politics and Policies, in the frame and context of the present impact of globalization. One of the themes studied in this book is the subject Comparative Education, Modernity and Postmodernity . The second theme analysed is that of Tradition versus Reform in Pedagogical Paradigms of the XXIst century . Thirdly, we approach a recent vision of the theme The Recurrent Debate of Diversification versus Comprehensiveness in Education in Global Times . Finally, the educational level of higher education is studied, in particular the Statal National Traditions and the Impact of Transnational Education .
