In The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, the bandit and his merry men ramble through the Sherwood Forest in England, stealing from those who are weighed down with too much gold and giving the plunder to villagers who don't have enough money to feed themselves. Thanks to this set of stories, Robin Hood became commonly known as a hero and friend to those in need. American author and illustrator Howard Pyle created this compilation of legends for children, first published in the United States in 1883.
